Crystal Factory
The Need
Concept and create a 3D projection mapped grain silo in Denver’s RiNo Art District for Side Stories art walk.
The Solution
RiNO Side Stories put out an artist commissions RFP for their annual projection mapping festival and Tend submitted the idea for a crystal cave. When presented with the grain silos as our surface, we revisited the idea of a natural cave, choosing to go with an industrial crystal factory vibe to reflect the energy of the RiNO Art District. In projection mapping, we find that utilizing the surface as part of the concept is a powerful way to experience art in a new way.
